The 2011 Pi Alpha Xi Poinsettia Sale Fundraiser will be held November 30th and December 1st at the Howlett Hall Greenhouses, OSU Campus, Columbus, OH. We will be open 7am-6pm, both days. If you have any questions please email us at pialphaxi@gmail.com.

Preorders can be placed under the poinsettia sale tab above, and can be picked up anytime during the sale.

2010 Fall Initiation

We had a great fall Initiation this year at McFaddens On October 22. Lloyd Traven of Peace Tree Farms graciously accepted to be our first Jack Williams Keynote Speaker. In memory of Jack, everyone took their socks off. In Lloyd’s own words, “As I gave the Jack Williams Keynote Address at OSU last Friday in his place, I got everyone to honor Jack by taking of their socks for a picture. Jack would have LOVED this!!! I wish I could hear him laughing, but I couldn’t because I was crying. Rest in Peace, good friend. I miss you.”

A much needed update!

Hello all!

I realize the site has been lacking an update! Lots has been going on with PAX since the Poinsettia Sale of last year. In fact, the planning of the 2010 sale has already begun. Since the sale, we spent time in Pittsburgh, PA for a quick weekend trip in March and Washington, DC for our annual trip in June. Both trips were wonderfully educational and fun-filled. We also participated in the spring plant sale once again in May, where we sold hand-made cacti and succulent arrangements, along with some tropicals and miniature orchids. Our fall initiation is upcoming (October 22) and we are excited to have Jack Williams as our speaker and guest once again. I am looking forward to seeing all the new and old faces this year.

2009 Poinsettia Sale…Success!

Thanks to everyone who helped and supported the Pi Alpha Xi Poinsettia Sale this year. Our members made it the success it was…and all their hard work payed off. As usual…loyal and even new customers continue to support the honor society and it’s efforts in horticulture. Hope to see you next year! The dates will be December 1st and 2nd, 2010.
