A select number of PAX students were able to attend a portion of the IPPS (International Plant Propagators Society) Eastern Region Conference in Cleveland, OH this past weekend. The society was able to raise funds to assist in brining in students to attend and participate in the activities. We arrived Friday morning and proceeded to attend and afternoon of nursery tours in Lake County. Tours included Klyne Nurseries, Willowbend Nursery, and Cottage Gardens. We also attended talks on Saturday morning and a banquet Friday night. Our only expense for students was the rented van. The experience, though short, proved enjoyable. It’s even small outings such as this that make being a member of PAX a valuable resource for education and networking opportunities “outside the box.”
